Daphne Dorce

Dr. Daphne Dorce is a board certified psychiatrist in general psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and addiction medicine. She brings 17 years of clinical expertise evaluating and treating patients with mental health disorders including substance use disorders.

Dr. Dorce has provided psychiatric care in various settings including: community mental health; rural health; corrections; inpatient psychiatric hospitals; inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics and private practice.

Her educational background consists of a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, a medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, general psychiatry training at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program, child and adolescent psychiatry training at the Yale Child Study Center, Yale School of Medicine and forensic psychiatry training at the Columbia/Cornell Psychiatry and Law Program.

Dr. Dorce works diligently with her patients, empowering them to take control of their lives through the management of their mental health. Her background comes by way of extensive psychodynamic and pharmacological training.

Presently, Dr. Dorce is committed to enhancing mental health awareness, providing psychiatric services in an inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation setting.

Carrie Carlton
Clinical Director, LCSW

Carrie is the Clinical Director at First Step Detox. She holds a BSW and MSW in social work from Florida Atlantic University, a MA from Barry University (Miami), and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She also has a background in medical social work. Her understanding of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and family systems guides her treatment of addicts and families.


Kevin MacNeil
Counselor (CAC-ICRC-ADC)

Originally from Massachusetts, Kevin moved to Florida to create a better life for himself. He has been in recovery since April of 2010. Having worked in many areas of the addiction treatment field, Kevin brings years of experience and excellence in care to Beachway Therapy Center. He graduated from The Academy for Addiction Professionals in 2014 and is now working as a certified addiction counselor. Kevin has held many different positions in this field; behavioral health technician, admissions coordinator, behavioral health technician, supervisor, program director & counselor. His passion for helping other alcoholics and addicts is invaluable to our team.


John Arthur
Clinician (CAC, ICRC-ADC)

John has received his BA from Florida State University. Beginning as a Behavioral Health Tech, he now assists with case management and the intake department and is working toward his CAC (Certified Addiction Counselor) license. John is a Beachway alumni with a passion for helping others succeed in recovery.


Deborah McNamara
Group Facilitator

Deborah has been a professional in the addiction field for over twenty years. After overcoming her own struggle with addition, she began her journey helping addicts recover. Deborah has studied for over 10 years the true nature of being as a member of The Transformation and Rebirth Institute of Ft. Lauderdale where she studied esoteric and metaphysics regarding the fundamental principles of enlightenment, self-healing and recovery. She has witnessed the effects that this disease can have on individuals as well as families she has a passion for being able to see eye to eye with those who are struggling, as well as helping families understand the true nature of addiction. She understands how important it is to feel safe and respected once someone makes the decision to seek detox and recovery and as a Detox Counselor she can assist patients to identify their treatment goals and to understand the nature of addiction and the basic principles of the recovery process.


Debby MacNeil
Admissions Director (CAC, ICRC-ADC)

Debby has a passion for helping others and has been doing just that with Beachway for 6 years, she now leads the Admissions team as Admissions Director. Not only has she flourished as a value to our center, she is an alumni of it. Debby went through our program in 2011 and has realized a life of sobriety, growth and happiness ever since. In addition, she has also gone on to graduate from The Academy for Addiction Professionals in late 2014. As a Certified Addiction Counselor Debby is an asset to those who seek Beachway for professional care. Debby has a passion for what she does and for the life that she now lives due to her embrace of sobriety. She is a testament that recovery is possible.


Megan Pastore
Director of Human Resources (PHR, SHRM-CP)

Megan Pastore, Director of Human Resources, is an accomplished HR professional with over 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors.  Megan is responsible for implementing human resource management strategies that enable Beachway Therapy Center to recruit, train, and retain a high performing and motivated workforce. Megan specializes in talent management, staffing, employee benefits, and employee development for the healthcare industry. 

Megan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University. She is certified through the Human Resource Certification Institute as a Human Resource Professional (PHR) and is a Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP). 


Denis Holmes
Chief Executive Officer

Our CEO brings years of knowledge, understanding, and experience to meet the needs of our clients at Beachway Therapy Center. With a personal motto of “help the suffering addict and alcoholic,” Denis willingly goes to any length to assist addicts on their personal road to recovery. Denis has a special understanding of the aftercare treatment that our clients require to maintain sobriety. He is involved with a hands-on approach to our sober-living facilities in Delray Beach so he can meet the needs of our clients even after they leave the initial treatment phase. Within our community, Denis has a high level of credibility because of his dedication to the care and support of the addict and alcoholic.


Pamela Egan
Chief Operating Officer

Pamela’s business expertise has been instrumental in building First Step Detox to the outstanding facility that it is today. Pamela earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Lynn University. She works tirelessly to ensure that First Step Detox is safe and comfortable environment for all clients at this critical time in their recovery.
